GRADUATION TRIP
SOMETHING GOOD FOR THE WORLD
After a boy in 8th grade in Missouri couldn't get a ride to graduation, he decided that he could not miss it, and so he walked to his high school. For two and a half hours the 14 year old walked the 6 mile trip with his brother and friend with such determination to make it.

During his graduation Xavier Jones was given a standing ovation for his strong willed nature, and this caught the attention of someone in the audience. This person was the President of Harris-Stowe State University.

She was in awe of the boy and offered him a 'ride' to college, but what Xavier did not realise that she did not mean a physical ride to the college, but that she would give him a full scholarship and funding towards anything else he would need for his education.

And to add onto the craziness and surprise of Xavier's day, NFL player Terron Armstead decided to buy Xavier's family a minivan and bike so that they would never have any issues with getting to places ever again.

Not only does this story show that determination and a willingness to succeed can create miracles, but it goes to show that there are good people in the world that are willing to make it happen.
